Gaudi's whim

It is a building very rich in decorative details that includes various local and foreign influences, such as neo-Mudejar elements. It is profusely decorated, highlighting the ceramic bands with sunflower flowers. It has balconies and iron railings, alternating in the walls the ashlar rigging in the lower part and the bricks in the upper part, all of great originality. It is conceived as an oriental palace, although with an organic approach, the building is articulated under the idea that it is something alive in which each of its parts must be oriented towards a specific place, depending on its use. This building was aesthetically designed to be mimicked by the surrounding vegetation, which is appreciable by the choice of green as the predominant colors among the rich ornamentation of the building. Each facade is different from the others, contributing to give a formal heterogeneity that surprises and, at times, dislocates the observer. In short, the particular idiosyncrasy of this monument makes it an authentic architectural and ornamental whim.

Municipality of Llanes

The town of Llanes (East of Asturias), monumental and seaworthy, has a large number of places of interest.

The smell of the sea and its breeze welcome us when we enter the town and remind us that we step on a port, once a whaler and always very fishing.

It is like a journey between two worlds, between civilization and the wild mountain. It is very typical to find ourselves in Fuente Dé with fog, other times with a roof of thick clouds or even drizzling, we go up to the cabin and it goes into some clouds, for a few moments we see absolutely nothing, it is as if we were traveling between two worlds and suddenly a radiant sun and a sea of clouds below us. An authentic spectacle of nature difficult to admire in another environment.
